former Paducah Community College, and obtained a pharmacy degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduation, Edwin returned to Paducah and took over Albritton’s Pharmacy, the family business that his grandfather opened in 1924. Edwin operated Albritton’s with the same principles as his family predecessors before him which was to provide loyal service and compassion to his customers.

In 1993, Edwin closed Albritton’s Pharmacy, a Paducah institution for over 60 years, and began working for a chain pharmacy. At the time of closing, Edwin continued caring for his customers as he assisted his customers with the transition of transferring from Albritton’s Pharmacy to Davis Drugs where he was confident that Marshall Davis would take care of his customers in the manner they were accustomed, which was with respect and putting their needs first. Upon completing his career with the chain pharmacy, Edwin returned “home” to Davis Drugs. Working at Davis Drugs has allowed Edwin to return to the aspect of a profession that he loves which now allows him the opportunity to have a one-on-one conversation with the customer, along with the ability to listen and discuss their needs. At Davis Drugs, the customer’s needs are the priority as they are not just a number that is rushed in and rushed out. Edwin takes great pride working at Davis Drugs where he considers the staff and customers his friends and part of an extended family.

Edwin resides in Paducah with his wife, Debbie, and loves to travel to visit his children and grandchildren.
